Plastic pollution in Nassau County

Cities around the country are facing an unparalleled problem when it comes to plastic pollution and in recent times a drastic increase of discarded PPE supplies. Experts say it’s going to leave long term damage to our aquatic life and environment. Rob Welter, the president of Operation S.P.L.A.S.H a non profit volunteer organization located in Freeport New York will be discussing the reality of the pollution on our shorelines, to educate locals so we can come together as a community to improve the quality of life for clean water, beaches and bays.
